fire arm on a felon
my boyfriend was just charged with a possession of a firearm as a felon. he was high on meth and he has had tons on drug charges in his past. what typically happens to felons who hve firearms? what is the typical sentencing?

Every case is different. It will be important for his attorney to get involved early. Otherwise, there is the potential for the filing of federal charges. As a state charge, it is a Class D felony carrying a maximum term of 5 years in prison.
