What are the penalties for the forgery of someone's signature on a personal check in the State of Iowa?

Under Iowa Code 715A.2(1)(B)forgery of a check in Iowa is a class D felony. Class D felonies are punishable by an indeterminate sentence of not more than five years imprisonment and a fine of at least $750 and not more than $7,500. Such fines are subject to a 30 per cent surcharge.
