Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
My friend stoled things from walmart and I didn't knw she was going.to.steal instill she started putting things in her diaper bag and now they want to charge me with 5 degree thieft what should I do?

You have the trial to a trial. You also have the right to either have an attorney or to represent yourself. Theft in the 5th degree is a simple misdemeanor, so you do not have the right to a jury trial unless you make a demand in writing within 10 days of your initial appearance.
