Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa

i was at a friends when a searh warrant was conducted.. i had in my possession a half gram of meth which i pled guilty to. Almost a year to the day later a new county attorney charged both my friend and I with manufacturing because of a bottle of liquid found in the basement on that search which had been found positive on the use of manufacturing . How can they find positve for the use in the manufactere doesnt that mean an ingredient and how can i be held in possession of things in his basement

It could be that they are saying you were in "constructive possession" of the items in the basement. If there is absolutely nothing to connect you to those items, then you've got a good defense.
