Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
A guy gave my daughter a promise ring before he left for training and then to deployed. Found out he was texting and calling other girls offering them to pay to visit him then he wouldn't text her anymore when she confronted him. She found out through a girl they broke up and now he wants the ring back does my daughter have to give this back legally? He says he or his mom is gonna send the cops after her for all his belongings he gave her like his hoodie and shirt. I believe he's being childish and showing signs of conduct unbecoming a soldier of such threaten her and harrassing her over things that I believe aren't of much value. It wasn't no engagement ring.
