Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa

harassment complaint

My ex and I have been

divorced for over two

years. After our divorce

we were still good

friends, we talked on the

phone all the time. After

a while we lost contact,

about 8 months ago I

called (he lives in

Georgia) him about 4

times during one day but

there was no answer so I

just assumed he was not

home. About 7 pm at

night he answered the

phone, and I told him it

was me, he started

yelling at me and calling

me names and he told

me to never call him

again. I hung up on him,

he called me back and

yelled some more at me,

called me names and

again told me to never

contact him again. I hung

up the phone again, and

I blocked his number,

also I changed my cell

number. About a week

later I received a letter

that said he had filed harassment complaint

against me. It has been

over 8 months and I have

not received anything

else, and the police never

showed up. I have not

contacted him since that

time and he has not

contacted me. Should I

still be worried that a

criminal case could be

brought up against me?

Could I be facing jail

time? I have never been

in any trouble with the

law and I am worried.

Thank you.
