Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa

I helped the local police on many occasions with information that resulted in the arrest of my nephew for a bank robbery I was convinced he committed. His Mother is my sister and she spoke to me in confidence during the time he was on the run. She is in bad health and I relayed to the police everything she told me as she was helping him. I asked the police to please keep my name anonymous and they promised they would. I just found out that my name and dates of contact with the police was provided to my nephew's attorney and my sister. She now knows that I was playing both side of the fence, which was my main concern as she is the only family I have left. I knew I was doing the right thing and I trusted the detectives when they said know one will know. They lied. Do I have any recourse in this system of things where we shoot the whistle blower?
