Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
Hi,
I was arrested in Iowa on a misdeamenor check fraud charge, I got time served and 2 years of probation which was transferred to California because all my family is out here. If I violated probation I was supposed to serve 2 years in jail. I tested dirty and they rejected the probation back to Iowa. I have paid all my restitution and want to see if there is a way to clear everything without having to serve jail time. I can complete any probation or drug testing now because I have been clean and sober for 3 years, and I have been employed by the same company for 3 years in March of this year. Is there a way to not go to jail and still clear my name?
Thank you!

Hire yourself a local attorney and see whether you can appear by telephone. Remember they violated you, not revoked you.
As far as clearing your name, there is no procedure for expungement of an offense in Iowa except for minor in possession of alcohol.
