Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
Home Owner told to leave his property or be arrested
A police officer drove his police car threw a rental property of mine to arrest a man. When i went to see why the officer was driving on my property I seen he was arresting this individual so i stayed about 100 ft away till the officer had the individual in his car. The officer then asked me what I wanted and I informed him I was the owner and was just wondering what he was doing. He informed me it was official. I said I seen that but that I didnt realize they could drive across private property. He again said its official bussiness and then to deputy sheriffs told me to leave the property or i would be aressted and one of the deputies pushed me and again threatened to arrest me. So my question is do I have any thing I can do about being threatened and made to leave my own property when i wasnt interfering in any way. Thank You
