Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
Identity Theft
My daughter has filed police report on me for identity theft of credit cards, her name is on them to, she knew about them and told me I could use them just make sure pay on them, then when it looked like a job would not give her it based on credit rating she decided to clear these off by saying she knew nothing about them and if meant putting me in jail then she would, cards in both names i am a authorize user her primary. she aknowledges them, but wants her stuff completely off her credit.Know says been tuned over to proscutor and they are determining if want ot do state or federal charges...ho wcan they do this if her name is on it to and she did know abou them even though says she didnt. What are my rights , what can i do so dont get into trouble, and if done state charges will that prevent me in getting job in criminal justice work? Please help me give me some advice on what to do..and what is right and wrong and if she has a case...

You need to retain the services of a competent criminal defense attorney as soon as possible. Your case is much more complex than I can analyze on a chatboard.
