Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
i was involved in a bar fight
first an individual and i got into a verbal argument
the individual shoved me so i shoved the individual back
the individual then punched me repeatedly three times in the face
after the third punch i defended myself and struck the individual in the face with my right hand which had a drinking glass in
the glass broke and cut the individuals face which require medical attention
it has now been over a month and a half ago since the fight and the individual is charging me with assault with injury
are my actions considered in self defense?
