Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa

would iowa extradit over a agg. misdameanor

i live in minnesota. and i believe they have put out an arrest warrant for me. will they arrest me on this warrant in minnesota or will they wait till my court date. its for conspiracy to commit theft in the third degree. thanks

Hard to say whether they would or not. If there's an active arrest warrant you could get nabbed and sit in jail until someone decides whether they want you or not. Better to deal with it up front.

If a warrant is issued fo your arrest you will be arrested and detained in Minnesota, if you are stopped for any reason. Whether or not Iowa would extradite you is entirely up to the prosecuting jurisdiction. given the seriousness of the offense, I would tend to believe you would be extradited.
