Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
Getting a new Judge
My probation revocation was overturned in part (they found one violaton still to be true) by the Court of Appeals. I talked to my lawyer about this and he said that cases are overturned all the time, and it doesn't mean you get a new judge. I don't trust this judge, and given that he has screwed up my case before, should I get a new judge, and should my lawyer ask the judge to excuse himself, is that something that happens

The short answer is rarely, if ever. You should be asking your attorney about this.
