Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
the law states you are innocent until proven guilty. if i spent 6 days in county jail and charges were dismissed, does the jail have to pay me for the time i was there since i was innocent?

The almost universal answer is no, unless you can essentially prove that they knew you were innocent and arrested and held you in jail anyway.
