Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
meranda rights
I was questioned without having my rights read to me is that legal. I was told I was to have my rights read to me before I was questioned.

It's Miranda and if you were not in custody it's entirely legal. In addition, if you were questioned about something that happened to someone else Miranda does not apply. It's wise to remember the first word of the warning....it's about keeping silent.
