Minor In Possession of Alcohol in Iowa
I was recently riding in a friends car with myself and three other friends.
My friends had alcohol in the back seat, none of which was mine.
The driver had a lapse in common sense and did not wear his seat belt, a police officer pulled us over.
He gave us all MIP's and the driver also a seat belt ticket.
Now if the alcohol was NOT mine, and it was sealed and completely unopened, AND I blew into a breathalizer and blew straight zeroes, how can i plead not guilty and get out of it in court?

Hire an attorney and take your chances is how it's done. You may, however, apply to have the record expunged after a couple years.
