Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
parole
what would be the next step if a person was granted parole, and the parole officer of that county deny it and can you appeal it.

I do not know that a local PO would have the ability to block a person's parole assuming the Board granted it, but the appropriate response if they did would be to hire an attorney and start the litigation process with the Parole Board. The procedure is set out in the Iowa Administrative Code chapter 205.
