Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
If a person has been given a deferred sentence, do they have to include this arrest information on a resume?

That's not really a legal question but if you get to the serious consideration stage a potential employer will do a background investigation. If you have a deferred judgment and have successfully completed probation, you can say you've never been convicted but that is a different matter entirely.

What you put on a resume is completely up to you. If you are asked a question in the interviewing stage about your criminal history, it depends on the question. A deferred judgment means you were not convicted.
