Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
A person that is serving prison time for sex abuse 3rd degree but is not allowed to have his children come visit him nor is he allowed to talk with the children on the phone. Is this an illegal practice or prison policy? He has not lost his parental rights and the sex abuse was with a non related female and his biological children are males.

That is the typical policy until the inmate completes sex offender treatment.
