picking up a dropped wallet
I was in a restaurant on my lunch break from work. the person in front of me dropped his wallet. i picked it up and took it. there was money inside that i also took and when i drove away i threw the wallet outside my car window. could i get in trouble? i mentioned this to a couple of co workers and they are totally blowing it out of perspective. they are going back to the restaurant and giving the restaurant my name and contact information for taking the wallet. can they be in trouble for anything? harrasment? slader? defemation of character?

Re: picking up a dropped wallet
Sir, you make yourself out to be a thief. My advice to you is to keep your hands off of things that are not yours, and to return all the money to the person you took advantage of.
