Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
I need help... I am on probation for another 6-9 months and it was in Iowa and due to a domestic I asked my PO if I could transfer down to AZ, they approved it over 3 weeks ago so I got my traveling papers and my sons and I headed out for down there. When I arrived there, I met with the Interstate Compact PO who was handling the case while my paperwork was getting transferred down to AZ and he was whom I would check into every week. Which I have..
Well I got severely sick with my kidneys with infection and my anxiety started kicking in like no other and I started having panic attacks all day long!! I was scared for my life and my sons, so after I started feeling good I panicked and came back to Iowa a couple days ago.. I did not know I was supposed to have traveling papers to come back to Iowa since my case had not yet bet fully transferred..
Now I am terrified I have violated my probation, which I have never done before due to health reasons because I am mentally Ill.. And I don't know what to do because of my children etc...
I have to be here for them!! I go see my psychologist on wednesday, because I'm just having panic attack after panic attack. As of now there is no arrest warrant out for me...
What would be your advice? I can't afford to go to jail!
Thank you

You violated the terms and conditions of your probation. What happens from here on in is between you, your attorney, and the prosecutor.
