Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
pulled over for no tags, provided proof of new purchase of car, officer saw something wrapped in newspaper demanded I show him I refused so he called for a dog then asked dispatch for magistrate could not get one so impounded my car. Is this legal.

It's borderline but the real issue is whether they found anything. The other real question is are you prepared to pay what it costs to litigate this?
