Removing crimminal records
I would like to find out if there is a way to get crimminal records removed from my files. It is keeping me from getting a job when they do a crimminal back ground check. All my charges are over 10 years old.

I may have answered this somewhere else. If you got a deferred judgment you may be able to expunge your records. However, there is no other provision in Iowa law to expunge criminal records.
Much depends on what you were convicted of as well. Crimes of moral turpitude, i.e., dishonesty will bar you from many professions,
