renters girlfriend breaking into apt. when he is not home
my renter was not home tonight and the apt. was locked and his girlfriend came over and crawled up on my porch because i live downstairs and went in thru a window and broke into his apt. The cop told me that I cannot press charges because it is an apt. that i rent out even thought it is my property? Is this correct? Is there anything that I can do? Thanks for your help
