Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
retainer fee
are portions of retainer fees refundable? I had a case that looked potentially federal, but then boiled down to a simple plea bargain with no trial. At the start iwas gullible and scared enough to give them 25,000$. I think the lawyers played a part in heightening my fear level to justify this amount. It seems pretty steep for aplea bargain.

Re: retainer fee
All unearned fees paid up front are refundable. You need a billing statement that explains what they did for you.
