Re: sealing conviction federal
If you have been convicted of a federal offense the only way you may expunge the conviction is by seeking a presidential pardon.
This is done by writing to
President of the United States
Pardon Attorney
Department of Justice
Washington, D.C. 20530
Congress did not provide general expungment statutes. The federal courts may expunge or correct their own records but this is rarely done and under only the most exceptional circumstances.
Congress does allow a court to defer judgment if the offender is a first time narcotics offender. under 18 U.S.C. 3607(a)
As you have been convicted of a felony under federal law your right to vote and right to posess firearms do not exist at this point. Barring a presidential pardon it is unlikely that they will or can be restored.
