a serch warrent was served 4 months ago which lead to seized property but the serch warrent has not been made public record. why is this

Possibly because a confidential informant was involved?

If this case involves you in any way, even if the warrant is sealed your attorney should be able to get a copy of the application and the warrant. There is a special procedure for sealing a warrant and just because it involves a confidential informant is not enough to seal it.
