Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
I was served a no-contact order but was not court ordered. My question is as long as I do not attempt to speak or go near the person can I be in the same public place at the same time.

A no contact order by definition means that it is court ordered and you have to follow the terms of the order. If you were served with something that was not signed by a judge, I would recommend you call the Clerk of Court.
