Your case is governed by chapter 692A of the Code of Iowa.
The residency requirement is covered by 692A.2 and it governs offenses in which the victim was a minor or the offense was a sexually violent offense. If that's not you, the residency requirement does not apply.
In the case of the registration period coming to an end, the statute requires that you request a determination of your status under Iowa Code chapter 692A.8.
