Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa

hello, not sure how to share/ask this..... so short rundown first; in a relationship almost 4 years, proposed to marry, everything good. all throughout relationship, she would get angry and strike me. this went on and it seemed to get worse; hit, kick, punch, strike w/an object, and that usually produced bruises and blood. started taking pictures of injuries, don't know why, I was just pissed that this was happening and I allowed it. throughout relationship, she kept in contact w/x's through social media and who knows what else, and I am sure this is still going on. I have moved out, and tried to reconcile; and I know that is not the "right" thing to do. and so now I am very upset, and want to nail her ass to the wall and, I guess get her back. I don't know. others have said to turn in the pictures to school officials, and her nursing professionals and they can discipline her for the actions. I don't know what do you think
