Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
My son is being charged with contempt of a no contact order for contacting his ex girlfriend's sister when his child was in the er very sick and being admitted to the hospital. Is this charge going to stand and he go to jail?

No contact means no contact. That includes the use of proxies. So he's in violation and there's a minimum jail time of seven days if he's found to be in contempt.
