Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
My son was granted parole by the board on 1/4/11. How long can they hold him after the decision? I have tried to find out when they will be sending the paperwork to the local Department of Corrections to do a housecheck, but I cant get his counsler to answer my questions. I found out he got a parole by the parole website. His counsler hasnt even told him he got a straight parole.

That's up to the department of corrections as to when they release him.
