Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
my son's charges include: poss w/intent, D felony, previous conviction of 1998, poss of pot, second/subsequent defender enhancement, 3 D felonies, tax stamp, poss of pot, poss of cocaine, also enhanced due to previous convictions. is my son going back to prison again, or is there a slim chance that he could qualify for some kind of drug treatment program?

There's no way of telling what the court will do, but with a track record such as you have described there is the possibility of a significant prison sentence because he is also looking at habitual offender enhancements.
