Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
Both spouses arrested for domestic abuse. Neither party pressing charges, but the State of Iowa is pressing charges against me. County Attorneys office dropped the charges against my wife, but are pursuing mine. The officers took pictures of my injuries, but none of hers. They never asked her questions about her injuries or took her to the hospital. The have pictures of my injuries. Curious as to why they would have dropped the charges against her and what I need to do in order to possibly have the charges against me dropped also. Neither one of us are pressing charges, how does the state of Iowa get to when we we're both listed as victims in the case.

Being prosecuted does not depend on one's status as a victim, and it does not depend on whether one party or the other wishes to press charges. I suggest you hire an attorney.
