i was charged with 5th degree theft from walmart for stealing clothes in the amount of $30 or less and was wondering what to do abt it and seeing what might the sentancing be since its my first time

Every prosecutor and county will handle these cases differently. Some just want restitution. Some will want probation, jail time or fines. The maximum sentence is 30 days in jail, and/or a fine between $65 and $625. You may also be eligible for a deferred judgment.
