Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
Visiting Iowa from Colorado. Pulled over for burnt out third break light. The officer asked to search my car saying something illegal would be in there since I'm from Colorado. I told him no to the search and went on my way. Is this profiling as I feel insulted.

How would you be profiled if, as you say, your third brake light was out or broken? That's reasonable cause to stop you. Not attending to having a safe and legal vehicle invites police scrutiny both here and in Colorado.
