Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
If someone was wrongfully arrested and charged with a crime but was not convicted, does that charge stay on the police record permanently? Is there any way to remove it?

It will always appear on your record although there is an expungement process for a handful of misdemeanor convictions, such as open container of alcohol in public.
