Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Iowa

I have worked for a large company for almost three years. Every summer, we are sent to a different factory to help out with their orders. When we go, we lose all job rights and seniority and are placed in the leftover jobs nobody wants. Honesty, they treat us that get sent over like scum. This year I was placed on a job with two men. My first day there, I was told "no girl has ever been able to do this job". Which made me try even harder to prove them I could do it. I have done every part of this job, but because of my height, 5"1 , I struggle with one part of it. I had only been training on the job for 4 days when they came in and disqualified me from it due to my height. Ergonomics is a major deal here and at my plant, they have always "made the job fit me" and was never offered a stand or step to stand on to make my job a little easier. I am very capable of this job and feel like because I'm a short girl, they didn't give me a chance. I am very hard working ad never complain about work, that's what I'm here to do. But I really feel like this was just a case of "no girl can do this job" and the company didn't bother to help me. Would you consider that discrimination based on gender?

Possibly. I suggest that you contact an attorney who practices in the field of employment discrimination.
