defendent have choices in payment ??

what happens once a jury award is read in court by the presiding judge. is the amount of money awarded by jury the amount to be paid by defendent. or does defendent have the right to determine what amount they will pay to injured party.

The answer is that the amount of a judgment or fine is not negotiable. If you injure someone you own all the consequences, monetary or otherwise.
