Legal Question in DUI Law in Iowa

descrimination

my question is more of a statement. why in the state of iowa you are guilty before you are innocent? what this revolves around is a cdl license holder. how and WHY can they take away a man's support of his family and any means of support just because he holds a cdl drivers license for his means of support. he is unable to get a work permit even tho the violation happened in his personal vehicle. anyone else within the realms of employment can get a work permit license to maintain their livleyhood. if the violation happened in a truck while under mission or even driving a commercial vehicle i would be able to more understand the law. but, when a man is off duty and in his personal vehicle, what right does the dot have to condemn the rest of his life over a very non-controversial situation that happened????

Re: descrimination

Well, I do not know whether there is a legal question here but the object lesson is clear to me, as it should be to you. Drinking and driving is a stupid thing to do and it has bad consequences for those who do it and get caught...as well as their families.
