I was driving while impaired, broke a telephone pole and a phone box which was erected from the ground. This is my first DUI. I was the only one in the vehicle, no body else was injured. I am going to classes for alcohol abuse. I am also going through immigration process, being from Canada. What will my charges probably be? Will I go to jail? Will I be sent back to Canada because of the charges? Will I be classed as a felon now?

Your first DUI in Iowa is not a felony so don't worry about that. There is a mandatory 2 day stay in jail that is sometimes waived, substance abuse evaluation and a fairly stiff fine. If you did not refuse the test there is a 30 day hard suspension and then you can get a work permit. If you refused the test there's a one year suspension.
As to the impact of this on your immigration status I suggest you contact a good immigration attorney because I do not know the answers to the questions you ask. Jim Benzoni here in the Des Moines area would be a good bet.
Here is some good general information to help you navigate through this trouble.
