Sobriety Tests and OWI

When you are pulled over and taken to jail for an OWI, is it a requirement that the police officer make you do the sobriety tests, or can he/she simply make you blow and take you to jail on that? I thought that was mandatory to calculate how many ''points'' you failed during the tests.

There is no requirement that they offer field sobriety testing.
