Legal Question in Education Law in Iowa
School Absences
my boyfriends daughter is 5 years old and he has her enrolled in a local school. He has her one full week then her mother has her for a week. Her mother refuses to drive the 15 minutes to school so she misses every other week. Is there anything we can do about this? Please help we are worried about her education.

Re: School Absences
Go to the judge who handled the divorce and awareded custoday. It likely violates state law that the girl is not attending school (assuming that she is in first grade?).
