Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa
Im 33 weeks pregnant. Father of unborn child doesn't have contact with me. Is waiting till child is born to file for joint custody. He got back with ex partner which he has 2 step kids and 2 children of his own.this would be 5th child in home. I don't have any way of contacting him since he left our home and changed his number. Left me financially struggling with finances and credit card bills he stated he was not responsible bc we were never married. Due to the financial hardship. I'm moving to los angeles to have support from family. I have the right to move with unborn child but can he bring me back to iowa for custody and child support.

Well, litigating at long range is difficult at bes and legally speaking there is no child until it is born live. Once you're there you're there and nearly anything can be done by teleconferencing. In addition you do not have to name him as the father on the BC. Let him prove it at long range.
