Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

Adoption by a stepfather whom is now in Prison for sexually abusing step child

My husband is the biological father of two girls age 15 and 17. Their mother had her husband adopt them. He is now sitting in Prison for sexual abuse with the older girl.

She is now engaged to another man. What a soap opera. My husband has no parental rights to the girls because he gave them up for adoption to take place by the new Dad. Which is the old ex of their mothers now whom is sitting in prison for sexually abusing the older girl.

I want to know what our rights would be. Are they all gone do to signing over the adoption? Or does the law stipulate something in the case of finding the step-father to be a child molester? Please, I need your help in this.

One day out the blue the oldiest girls called my husband, and I find this odd, after ten years no phone call or contact. Their mother loves revenge. She is nice when she wants something, until you do not give it to her! In other words, something is up!!

Can she claim false adoption or can she termite the sex offender ex, and have the new guy adopt them?

If we have rights, I want these girls to be able to use them to be with their biological Dad, my husband, as he is a stable person!

There's nothing that your husband can do. It's over and done with.
