Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

Appealing Divorce

My Father-in-law recently recieved a judges ruling on his divorce,

but now my mother-in-law is appealing the divorce. The divorce

stated that he had a certain number of days to put their house on

the market. Does he still have to get his house on the market in

that number of days? Also, my mother-in-law recieved some art

work in the divorce that she gave to us; should we keep these or

return them to him or her?

Re: Appealing Divorce

It sounds like he has a good argument to stay the sale if the agreement is going out the window but his attorney will have to make the proper filing with the court. As to the artwork, I think it's probably safer with you until the court's order becomes final.
