Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

I have been asked by the DHS of Iowa to be guardian of my grandchildren. How do I go about filing for a petition of guardianship? I have been guardian for two of them in the past can I refile or do I have to start over? Is the petition something I can file on my own?

Both parents are in agreement to the guardianship.

I think you should talk to an attorney. If DHS wants you to do this perhaps they can steer you to someone who knows how to handle it. Otherwise you should probably get an attorney to handle it for you.
