Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

Our bother is going thru a divorce and it has not been finalized. Not sure if his attorney is doing him justice. The wife filed for the divorce back in October, did not move out of the house until Jan, waited for 1/2 of income tax return and now is asking for $80 per week for child support - which shared custody of 2 kids (13 and 8), however she will only get the children two weekends a month. He is keeping the home, but she is also asking for 1/2 of his 401K - which he has been the major bread winner thru out their 15 or 16 years of marriage. Just today she stated that she had met my brothers attorney and talked to her (attorney). Both are represented by counsel and not sure if that was appropriate. I would like to know if I should be persistant with my brother before he gets thrown under the bus.

That's not really a legal question, and both parties being represented in a divorce is commonplace. The ex is legitimately entitled to half the pension.
