Change of venue

how do I file a motion to transfer my divorce papers to anothe state. I am originaly from minnesota and currently live in iowa ,have been for 3 years, and kids also. I know I can do it but do not have the $ or connections to do so. I need help

Assuming that you have custody of your children and a valid custody and support agreement from Minnesota, and you need to start legal action for some purpose concerning custody that would be enough to establish jurisdiction in Iowa. However there's no way of 'transferring your divorce papers' to the state of Iowa for convenience's sake.
