Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

Change in visitation due to military orders

I am serving in Iraq from March 06 to march 07. I was assigned ''leave'' to come home and visit August 15-29. I planned a vacation for me and my three children during this time. My ex wife now tells me that I cannot have my children the second week of my leave because our divorce papers state I have to return them to her 7 days before school starts (I am normally awarded them all summer). Is there anything I can do about this as this is a special circumstance? I have not seen my children since March and I will not be able to see tham again for several months after. Please help me!

Re: Change in visitation due to military orders

What you need is to have an attorney here in Iowa file a motion to temporarily change the custody and visitation order.
